Anyone that know me, know I love trying new things. Recently my new thing has became one of my favorite hobby. The new hobby that I have pick up is jewelry making. Jewelry making sparks my need to have to be in control- but in a creative way. As many people know, jewelry making is my new profound love. I am going to share my top 3 favorite tools for jewelry making.
The old saying goes, ” an idle mind is the devils’ playground” Whenever, I am having a bored moment, I find something to do to keep me busy. That favorite ‘something’ for me has been jewelry making. I love the idea of designing and being creative.
My top 3 favorite tools for jewelry making:
- 3-in-1 Tool
- Side Cutters Tool
- Designer Bead Palette
3-in-1 pliers tools
I find it very easy to make earrings. The 3-in-1 tool is the perfect tool to use when making earrings. The 3-in-1 makes it easy to make a loop with the eye pin or whatever you choose to use for the earring. The curve edge makes it easy to make a loop while the lone nose helps you to hold objects, you can also cut wires.
Side Cutter tool
The side cutter is pretty much self-explanatory. The side cutter is used for cutting wires you may be using at any given time. Although the 3-in-1 pliers tool can cut wires as well I prefer the side cutter because it is faster. This tool can cut any kind of guage.
Designer Bead Palette
For a couple of weeks, I have been making do without a designer bead palette. When making jewelry I would seat the bead down on my desk in the order I want to make my necklace, bracelet or earring; hoping that it would not roll off! ? Or worse- my daughter, Janet knocking it down.
On a recent trip to Walmart with my husband, I wonder off to the craft section to find some beads to go with the earring the I made (my auntie wanted me to make a necklace for her). While there I saw a designer bead palette and JUST HAD TO PURCHASE IT! (Okayyy, my husband brought it for me) ☺
Having a designer bead palette really worked out in my favor. It allows me to put my beads in the pattern that I want without having to worry about the beads rolling away. Another advantage of having a designer bead palette is that I get to visualize how long my necklace or bracelet will be allowing to how many beads I have on the palette. Pretty cool, right? ?
Without my top 3 favorite tools for jewelry making most of my jewelry would not have been possible. The 3-in-1 tool, side cutter, and be signer bead palette are my must have accessories.
